Jude Bellingham admitted he had done something great after almost single-handedly winning his first El Clasico for Real Madrid lodibet
The England midfielder scored a stunning equaliser and dramatic stoppage-time clincher as Real came from behind to beat arch-rivals Barcelona 2-1 at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium on Saturday lodibet
It continued Bellingham’s extraordinary start as a Real Madrid player, with the 20-year-old having now scored 13 goals in as many appearances for Los Blancos lodibet
Bellingham told the club’s website: “I had watched many Clasicos from the sofa with my family and I told them that today it was my turn to live it first-hand and do something great lodibet
I’ve done that and I’m very happy lodibet
”Real trailed at half-time to an early Ilkay Gundogan strike and Bellingham conceded he had not been at his best lodibet
Such is his confidence, however, that he only had one thing on his mind when a shooting opportunity opened up 25 yards out with 68 minutes gone lodibet
He duly lashed home a fine equaliser and he was not done there, volleying in from close range in the dying moments lodibet
He said: “I wasn’t at my best lodibet
Sometimes it’s not about trying to do something special every time you have the ball, but to combine with those up top lodibet
“I fulfilled that task well but as soon as I got the ball there I knew I was going to score lodibet
“I got the ball on the edge of the box lodibet
I’ve been saying for a few weeks that I need to try from outside lodibet
“Maybe the opponents expect me to try to get into the box or combine with a team-mate and I wanted to surprise them by hitting it from outside the box lodibet
“I know I have the technique and it went into the top corner lodibet
”Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, whose side moved back to the top of LaLiga with the win, has been stunned by the impact Bellingham has had lodibet
He said: “We’re all surprised at the level he’s at, especially in terms of how effective he’s been lodibet
He could easily score 20 or 25 goals lodibet
“He looks like a veteran lodibet
His attitude is very good lodibet
He’s the player who has made the biggest difference lodibet
”Reports emerged after the game that some Barca supporters had directed racist abuse towards Real forward Vinicius Junior lodibet
Barcelona responded by opening an investigation into the matter lodibet
A statement read: “FC Barcelona will always defend the values of lodibet football and sport, such as respect for the opponent, and we will investigate any racist insult that may have occurred this afternoon during the match against Real Madrid lodibet
”It is the latest in a long line of incidences of racist abuse concerning Vinicius, who has been targeted repeatedly during his time in Spain lodibet

Emma Finucane is trying to ignore her new status as sprint world champion as she sets her sights on achieving Olympic glory in Paris next summer lodibet
The 20-year-old Welshwoman shocked herself when she took the women’s individual sprint title in Glasgow in August, beating Germany’s favoured Lea Friedrich in the final lodibet
Finucane donned the rainbow jersey for the first time in competition at the UCI Track Champions League opening round in Mallorca this weekend, but while the distinctive striped jersey means she can no longer keep herself inconspicuous, she does not want it to change her approach lodibet
“People will look at me now,” Finucane told the PA news agency lodibet
“Last year I was kind of the underdog and I just came through so now I am wearing the stripes lodibet
I hope that doesn’t really change anything lodibet
“I’m just trying to ignore it and just race my bike, but there is some external pressure lodibet
I’m not just Emma at the back of the field anymore lodibet
”The rainbow jersey can do different things for different riders lodibet
While many take it as a confidence boost, for others the stripes have worn heavily lodibet
Finucane said she had spoken to several Great Britain team-mates about how to deal with it lodibet
“I don’t want to look at it (as giving me a psychological edge) because if I lose, then what?” she said lodibet
“And I will get beaten, and that’s fine lodibet
I just need to take it as it comes lodibet
“Half of it is the mental battle of putting it on and people looking at you and having that pressure, but I’m trying to embrace it and enjoy it because you don’t know if it will happen again lodibet
“lodibet Beth Shriever is a really good friend of mine and she’s been the BMX world and Olympic champion lodibet
She said she didn’t have the best year in the rainbow jersey because she put too much pressure on herself and she overthought it lodibet
“I’ve spoken to Evie (Richards, 2021 mountain bike world champion) and Katie Archibald (a five-time world champion on the track) and I’m lucky we have so many inspiring women in the Great Britain team lodibet
It’s great I can learn from them but ultimately I will only learn from myself and how I deal with it lodibet
”And Finucane believes the Champions League – the made-for-TV track cycling series which is in its third season – is the ideal place to do much of that learning, providing some top-level competition without the stresses and pressures that come elsewhere lodibet
“The next event I’ll do in the rainbows is the Euros (in January) which is when everything is serious,” she said lodibet
“I’m not saying this isn’t serious, but it’s a nice place to be free to fail lodibet
You can try new things lodibet
”Saturday’s racing in Palma saw Finucane finish second in the sprint, beaten by Germany’s Alessa-Catriona Propster, before failing to make the keirin final through some tired legs lodibet
But it was just the sort of experience she was looking for when it came to dealing with her new status lodibet
Finucane will wear the stripes into an Olympic year but despite her status is taking nothing, not even squad selection, for granted lodibet
“Nothing is guaranteed,” she said lodibet
“I’d love to go and I’m really pushing myself but I need to take each race as it comes lodibet
If I just think about Paris and everything else goes wrong I’ll not be going lodibet
“But it’s in the back of my mind because since I was 10 years old I’ve wanted to ride the Olympics lodibet
“As the GB sprint team we’ll not just be going there to ride but we’re looking for medals and I fully believe we have the potential to win lodibet
It’s super exciting but also super scary lodibet
